Medium Sage Stick - Sustainably Harvested

White sage is a powerful cleansing tool. You can use this to cleanse your crystals, home, and any spaces. White sage is considered sacred medicine to many Native American/Indigenous Nations. It is important to understand its cultural significance and to give our greatest gratitude towards the Indigenous organisations that allow us to purchase this sacred medicine. 

The science:
Sage clears bacteria in the air. Sage smoke offers rapid delivery to the brain and efficient absorption to the body. Scientists have observed that sage can clear up to 94 percent of airborne bacteria in a space and disinfect the air. When sage is burned, it releases negative ions, which is linked to putting people into a positive mood.

Our sage:
Our sage is sourced from California where it is sustainably harvested as part of a social enterprise to re-engage first nation people in meaningful employment with cultural significance. All sage is collected on private land with a portion of profits going back to landowners. We love the work they’re doing as much as the beautiful, ethical sage they produce.

How to use:
1. Open the windows or doors in your house (the smoke will need a path out).
2. Light the sage stick. Hold the sage at a 45-degree angle, light the sage, let it burn for about 20 seconds and then gently blow out the flame so that you see orange embers on one end.
2. Set the intention - focus your energy and intent on clearing out any energies that are not for your highest good and ask that they be transmuted into light. 
3. Cleanse yourself first - cleanse yourself before cleansing your space. To do this, direct the smoke around your energy field and body.
4. In clockwise motions, slowly move the sage stick around your home (make sure to go into each room) or if its with your crystals, wrap the smoke around the crystals to cleanse them.
5. Once you're ready to extinguish a sage smudge stick, press the burning tip firmly into your fireproof vessel, dirt, salt or sand until the smoke no longer rises.

This stick is quite chunky and you will get many many uses out of it. You can keep burning it until it is used up, usually after a few weeks or even months, depending on your use ♡.
